We are working out how much food we will need at camp and how much it will cost overall. The children are working in small groups, have planned out their own menus and need to use a lot of estimating and co-operative skills to keep the task simple and achievable. We are having fun using calculators and learning to work cooperatively together.
Very cool real world math example - make sure that there is plenty of good food for the camp ;)
